Waterlily

As this is the first Dare of the month over at the Daring Cardmakers, we're looking to the flowers associated with the new month of July for our card-making inspiration:

the Larkspur and the Water Lily

We are also being sponsored by Link
Click HERE to visit the Crimson Cloud online store

and we have a wonderful prize to offer you this week. This lovely set of card making goodies is being offered by Crimson Cloud,

And here is my card:

I took the easy option and went for the waterlily flower, although I have no related stash so had a go at making my own.

The nearest flower punch I had was a large daisy. I punched three daisies in white cardstock, curled the edges of two of them with a pen then layered them on top of each other. The top daisy punch I just pushed the petals in a little more and then added a little yellow rose as the centre.

I'd also like to enter this into Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #17 using the following sketch

Supplies used:
Cardstock - Fancy Pants, Kraft, White
Flowers - yellow roses from stash
Other - Lil Buddies sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps, Nesties, PTI ink

TFL!

The waterlily you have made from your daisy punch works a treat with the yellow rose at the centre. A lovely clean elegant design.

Oh wow, what a striking design! I adore how you shaped the flowers, what a clever way to make a water lily :)
